The Sparkling Rosé is the perfect treat for mothers because its ingredients are simple: lychee, grapefruit juice, rose water, grenadine and, most importantly, Indigo sparkling water.
Mixologist Jessica Lapointe is back with a second recipe featuring Indigo’s Local Sparkles. With Mother’s Day coming soon, our goal was to treat mothers to a refreshing cocktail. An alcohol-free version is also available.

The history of rosé wine dates back to antiquity, but rosé began to be more widely produced only in the 18th century. Rosé is made from red grapes, with the skin left in contact with the juice for a short time, giving it its characteristic pink colour.
Over the years, rosé has become increasingly popular, and a number of drinks have been developed to make its consumption innovative and exciting. These beverages include sparkling rosé cocktails made with sparkling water.
The cocktails are relatively easy to prepare: simply combine rosé wine and sparkling water, and add other ingredients to taste. The ingredients can vary, but the most common ones include fresh fruit, such as strawberries or raspberries, fresh lemon juice, mint, sugar syrup and, of course, ice cubes to keep the drinks cool.
Sparkling rosé cocktails are an excellent choice for summer parties because they’re light and refreshing. They have grown in popularity in recent years in part because of the increase in rosé wine production, but also because of their unique sparkling, fruity and smooth qualities.
To sum up, it’s fascinating to see how the history of rosé has developed over time, and how a simple beverage can be transformed into a tasty and refreshing experience with the addition of sparkling water and fresh ingredients. Sparkling rosé cocktails are an excellent way to make this classic wine creative and exciting.
